Several legislative initiatives, some focusing specifically on telework and others on emergency planning, have shaped guidance and implementation of telework in the Federal Government.
The Office of Personnel Management, partner agencies such as the General Services Administration, and other agencies identified in the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010, are responsible to provide overall guidance to all Federal agencies. The Act established baseline expectations for the Federal telework program and agencies continue to work diligently to implement telework in accordance with the law.
